Apologies for being so out of touch with the blogging world. Firstly, I would like to apologise for that as I've been a bit busy and of course a bit lazy too - my bad! Secondly, I would like to thank My Obsession, Grow in Fashion, The Urban Pod, and Fabugloss for all nominating me for blogger awards! Again, really overwhelmed and quite surprised that people actually enjoy reading my waffle. Really does mean a lot to me so thank you again girls, and I hope you will all take your time to have a little gander at their blogs.
Now on to the nails:
I am really into this bluey/greeney/pastel colour that is trending at the moment, so couldn't resist picking up this Rimmel polish the other day in Boots: Rimmel I Love Lasting Finish - Misty Jade. It is kind of similar to another Rimmel polish I have: Rimmel Lycra Pro - Peppermint, however this colour is more blue and Misty Jade is more green. The accent colour is my American Apparel: Nail Lacquer - Rose Bowl that I picked up for a quid a while back. It's a really nice peachy/pink colour, and the consistency is great!
I was a bit naughty and took these photo's of my nails like days after I painted them, hence the small chips, and outgrowing spaces. I am in love with the colour of Misty Jade, however the formula is not so great. It is very thin I had to apply 3 coats of polish to get opacity, not to mention it does apply a bit streaky.
I spent the last 2 days in Liverpool doing some good old shopping which was amazing! Really loved it up there and I hope to return again soon when I have more time to shop and sight see. Here are a few (crappy) camera phone photos I managed to take whilst I was there:
After a long day shopping I headed back home to have a night out with my uni mates. I was really tired and it was tipping down with rain, but I enjoyed having a catch up and a boogie with the girls.
I will show you all my goodies I purchased in Liverpool in my next post so stay tuned!
Anyone been on a wild shopping trip lately?

The Spring Spirit: Floral Nail Art
I've been loving the sunshine up until recently; the weather has definitely took a turn for the worst. Sadly I've got an assignment due next week, so had to come back to uni early so I can actually concentrate. Was great being home over the Easter break chilling in the sunshine out in the garden. Mum dragged me along to a garden centre to pick up some flowers because she wanted me to plant them in the garden. Unfortunately I didn't get to finish planting them all before I left - Sorry Mum!
Here are the plants we ended up buying, and the wall basket I made:
I think that burst of sunshine done me well, as I'm now feeling rather refreshed! I miss my garden as at uni I live in a flat and not only does it not have many windows, but it also does not have a garden or any kind of communal outdoor space.
I showed you guys my new Revlon purchases that I managed to pick up for a quid in my last post, and forgot to mention that they were from Poundworld. Get yourselves down there to see if you can still get your hands some!!! Anyway back to the subject - I was meant to be doing uni work today but got rather stressed, so thought what better way to relax than a bit of nail art. Not just any old nail art, but some nice floral nails to get me back into the spring spirit. They didn't take long either as I was already wearing the base colour from the last post! How long have you been blogging?
February 2012 (Newbie)
What are 1-2 reasons that you started
blogging?
I just love everything to do with nail polish, and thought it would be a good idea to share my love for this through a blog.
What type of Blogs do you tend to follow/Read?
Mainly fashion/beauty/nail blogs, anything that interests me really.
What is one thing that you would like to
improve on a blogger / on your blog?
I don't have the best camera at all, in comparison to others who use SLR cameras. I am going to confess; I currently use my Blackberry to take photos! So I definitely need to move up in the world and get a better camera.
I would also like to post more nail art. I have so many designs I want to share with you, but time just prevents me from doing so. I aim to make more time for this!

Revlon: Nail Enamel £1 & a Cheeky Mini Haul
Sorry for the lack of posts guys; I've been quite busy these past few days with uni work, interviews etc. I've also been back at home for Easter, so sadly don't have any of my nail polishes with me. However, this was a bad idea as it has given me an excuse to buy some new ones whilst I'm here. I've also been a bit cheeky and made a few other purchases. So here goes...
Revlon polishes for £1. Bargain right?
2 more new nail polishes, some jewellery, and a snakeskin clutch bag...
When I get a moment I will post reviews on all of the polishes. I am so happy with my Revlon polishes they are such good quality, not to mention the colours are also fab. For £1 I think they are an absolute bargain, considering the same polishes are currently selling in boots for £6.49!!
Loving Claire's Accessories at the moment. Haven't been in there since I was a youngster, but lately they have had some really cute stuff in there. In addition to the above, I've also picked up 2 new rings and 2 new polishes that I will be sure to show off! It's so reasonably priced in Claire's, and they also do 15% student discount! Why not go and have a mooch and see if you can pick up some nice bits and bobs.
Anyone found any bargains lately? or purchased anything nice?

Did someone say Saturday's Child?
Would like to make you all aware of Saturday's Child blog! It's basically a fashion blog consisting of fashion news, hauls, outfit of the day, and all that good stuff we just love! Kamilah over at Saturday's Child was kind enough to help spread the word of my blog when I first started out, and even helped do the finishing touches to my logo. She is a whizz when it comes to all that creative malarki; a Photoshop Queen, and is also a amateur fashion designer. Would love for you all to head on over and check out her blog, and leave some nice comments if you like what you see!
Thanks guys,
Over & Out
