W7 Nail Polish - Mosaic (Nails Inc - Pudding Lane DUPE!)

Photo taken before I applied a clear top coat. Amazing dupe for Nail Inc's Pudding Lane! The W7 nail polish only cost me £1.99 from a market stall, whereas the Nails Inc's polish retails for £11 (daylight robbery!)

Anyone tried this dupe? Like it? Hate it? Want to try it?

Kooky Nail Wraps

I've been meaning to show you these nail wraps for the longest time! I was kindly given them to me a while back by a friend (thank you sooooo much Hannah!) , so thought I'd give them a shot as I have never tried nail wraps before. I wasn't just given 1 set I was given 6 - golly gosh how lucky am I!

As beautiful as they are not all of the sizes fitted my nails, hence the reason I thought I'd do an accent nail. I personally think nail wraps look better as an accent nail than a full set, plus an accent nail is much more practical!

They went on really easy, stuck well, and filed really nicely. I love the way they make my normal boring black nails look a bit jazzed up. Not sure how long they will last but I'll keep you updated. One corner has slightly lifted about a millimetre but it's barely noticeable. Think I might put a tiny bit of nail glue along the end of my nail to stop them from lifting

Have you guys tried nail wraps before? What are your opinions on them? - Yay or Nay?

(p.s -sorry for the muggy photos, had to take them in dim lighting to stop the nail wrap shining away!)

Motivation/Inspiration?

Sorry for the lack of motivation, haven't really been inspired to create any new nail designs lately :( . Here are a few random pictures from my phone of my thumb nail - random I know right? The polish in the last picture is one I made myself. Major sparkle overload!

I've still been keeping up to date with everyones' blogs. Hope you guys are well!

What do you guys think?

Abit of This - Abit of That

These were my nails before I had to cut them all off! Been doing some good old D.I.Y for my dad stripping wallpaper, not to mention I had to do a massive clean on my flat as I have moved out. Literally was on all fours scrubbing skirting boards for hours! After all that hard graft my nails are now not in the best of states, although they do grow pretty fast so all is well.

Hard at work although the photo says otherwise!

Remember I mentioned the W7 glitter nail polish I wanted to get hold of? Well guess what? I've got some (polish on the left). Another polish by W7 caught my eye as I walked out the stall which is a beetle colour! I quickly tested the polishes on a few nails and my gosh I LOVE the blue glitter polish! The beetle polish on the other hand is a little disappointing and doesn't look as great on as it does in the bottle! However I only quickly tested them so I will do a proper post soon.

As I've been away for a couple of days I haven't had a chance to sit down and check out all my comments and new followers blogs, but I will defo get up to date tonight or tomorrow! Promiseeeeeeee.

That Versatile Thing Called Glitter

Lately I've been loving white nails! They are so plain, simple, and such a statement!

As promised here are the pictures of my 2 new glitter polishes layered over white and purple polish. Just a reminder here are the polishes:

(Left - Sassy Sparkle and Right - Jewel Tone)

L.A Colours - Sassy Sparkle layered over N.Y.C - Little Italy

Revlon - Plum Night

L.A Colours - Jewel Tone layered over Revlon - Plum Night

Both colours are awesome! The purple nails look like nail foils and look 10 times better in real life. For 99p I will go as far as to say this is my best polish purchase to date!!!

Anyone been buying any nice glitter nail polishes lately? I've heard W7 have come out with a really cool range of glitter polishes similar to Nails Inc Sprinkles Collection. I am on the hunt to find them!

Messabout Nails

When I get bored I tend to randomly paint my nails making up nail designs as I go along. I usually take a picture to send to my friend to see what she thinks of the designs. I guess it's kind of random that I do that. Suppose it's the same as trying on outfits playing "dress up" before actually wearing the outfit out properly - Right?

By the way, does anyone know a cheapish nail polish brand that do a matte top coat?

Thursday Throwback

A little throwback nail art from a while ago that I found on my phone! Picture quality is very poor,  but you can still see the gist of the design - Cosmic/Galaxy Nails! Pretty decent for my first attempt. Will defo look to recreate this look, and post clearer photos of course!

P.S - The lovely Sandi at Pushing Polish nominated me for an award - how sweet! She has a nail blog also, and some of her designs and nail polishes she uses are just awesome! You know them nail polishes that are just heaven in bottle? Yep she has them! Check her blog out here .

Bye for now!

Long overdue UPDATE!

Evening Fellow Bloggers!

I have finally finished Uni for Summer, so thought I better had show my blog some much needed TLC. Here are my current nails I am rocking - ocean inspired.

Seeing as I haven't blogged in over a month ( mad apologies) here are some other styles I have been sporting:

Simple Glitter Layering

As you can see I took the photo of these nails like a week and a half after painting them, hence the small chips and outgrown polish. The nail polish lasted a good while before showing any signs of wear and tear which I was super pleased with.

Bare Nails

"Naked" nails eurghhhh! For a while I actually went without any coloured nail polish. It was nearing the end of the term and uni was getting a bit hectic, so I did not have time to spare decorating my nails. I did coat them with nail hardener though :)

Pink Friday

Picked up this lovely pink nail polish in my favourite shop in the whole wide world - POUNDWORLD! The photo does not do the colour much justice, but it is a really nice pink colour and I can't stop wearing it. I have also tried layering glitter over the top of it, and I love it even more - it is so Barbie!

I picked up 2 new nail polishes from the local Pharmacy which were only 99p each - Thanks Emily for the heads up! Here they are:

I have already tried the 2 polishes layered over some colours and they look fab. The clear glitter literally jazzes up any nail polish colour, and the blue/purple glitter looks the bomb layered over dark purple polish. I will be sure to update you guys soon.

Slowly coming to the conclusion my blog is becoming a tad boring?

Until next time. Adios!

Aztec Nails & New Nail Art Business: Your Views?

So I got bored Friday night and decided to give my nails a much needed paint. They looked rather boring all one colour, so decided to do a simple aztec design on my ring finger.

The next day I decided to do the design on all of my nails because I thought the accent nail looked slightly lonely!

The sunshine is reflecting on my nails in the above photos, but below is a photo of my nails with the flash on indoors.

I would also be grateful of your views on the following subject:

Basically I am taking a gap year from university and thinking of starting my own small scale, mobile, nail art business. My dad owns a tanning salon, so I was thinking I could work maybe weekends doing nail designs in there. I am currently a marketing student so I could do all the marketing related malarki for it, which I could then put on my CV.

However...

My biggest issue is that a) I'm not sure if I am good enough at nail art to make a business out of it, and b) would people actually be prepared to pay for my services? So as you all are my trustworthy fellow bloggers I was wondering what your views are on this? and please don't be afraid to be 100% honest! As they say, honesty is the best policy :)

Hope you guys are well!

Fruit Salad Mess

Exams, assignments, exams, assignments, more exams, more assignments. Probably sounds quite familiar to a lot of you, as it is the time of year us students hate when literally this is all we are doing. As a result, sadly I've  been neglecting my nails lately, not to mention my blog has also been hit hard.

Here are some pictures of the fruit-salad like nail design I was sporting about 2 weeks ago:

As you probably noticed I messed up the ring finger, but didn't bother re-doing the design. I was undecided about whether I actually like this design or not? so I decided to add a few more lines to jazz it up...

And well I  messed it up even more, so as you can see I started painting my nails glittery pink instead. Currently, I am rocking some good old classic pink glittery nails which kind of remind me of Barbie. The pink polish used is called Fuchsia by Beautyuk. The glitter on top is not a nail polish I purchased, and instead is just some loose glitter mixed with some clear polish I had kicking about. I didn't manage to take a picture of my full set of glittery nails, but they looked pretty darn pretty! I really need to re-paint my nails as they are really chipped at the moment #Lazy.

Anyhow, although I'm not too keen on the fruit-salad nails I thought I'd do a post so I could hear your views on them. So what do you guys think? Yay or Nay?

Hope you guys have a nice weekend.
